Cory Behnke
Age 31 of Hugo and a proud 2006 graduate of White Bear High School.
He is survived by his Mother and Dad Kim & Greg Meyer and his father Richard Behnke. Also by his 2 sisters: Chelsea & Rachael and a niece Myah and extended family. A special thank you to his 3 high school friends: Chris, Ben & Nick.

A Celebration of Cory's Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Jimmy’s,3565 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.

The White Bear Lake Area High School Varsity Soccer Coaches, Karl Jende and Stephan Jende, were team mates and friends of Cory. They arranged a moment of silence in memory of Cory at the October 1, 2019 game. Here is the text that was read:
The history of soccer in White Bear Lake spans over the past fifty two years and we consider every player that has come through our program to be part of our extended family.
Unfortunately, we lost a member of this family far too soon when Cory Behnke passed away in his sleep on September 19th.

Cory grew up playing with Coach Stephan and being coached by Coach Karl. A member of the 2006 graduating class, Cory proudly wore the number 19 as a defender for White Bear Lake and eventually in college at Lake Forest.

A lifelong fan of the game, Cory was a great example of what a student athlete can be and his infectious laugh, love for life, and quick wit will be greatly missed.

Our deepest sympathies go out to his mother Kim, his sisters Chelsea and Rachael, and his extended family.

Cory - you brought joy and positivity to everyone who was fortunate enough to have known you. May your memory live on.

Cory will be missed by all of his friends. I remember well the trip we took with Stephan, Cory and Ben to see the USMNT vs Norway in Los Angeles. We had seats right at field level and it was fun to be that close to the action. My heart aches for his mom, Kim.
