Born on April 12, 1934 in Sparta, Wisconsin and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 30, 2021 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the age of 86 years. Preceded in death by her husband Richard; daughter Karen; parents Russell & Cora Laxton; brother Richard Laxton (Joelene) & sister-in-law Carol Laxton. Survived by children Wayne Young, Ken Young (Morgen Peltonen), Jean Lehman (Jeff) & Jim Young (Tammy Shingles); grandchildren Jamie (Knight), Peter, Kristin (Nick), Brittney (Sara), Nick, Jacob (Kylie), Amara, Amanda, Samantha, Sierra, Robert & Austin; great grandsons Kolten, Easton & Carter; brother Jerry Laxton; bonus sibling Ken Burke (Dianne); cousins Steve Laxton (Andrea) & Edward Laxton (Bonnie) and many other relatives & friends. She retired in 1999 from Shriners Hospital.

Lori was fun loving, generous, caring, and spunky. During their 25 years of marriage, Lori & Dick had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and share many years of laughter and love. Lori also always looked forward to her many casino trips with good friends. Lori loved her family more than anything and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She was an extremely skilled baker and her family always looked forward to the cakes and desserts she made for every family birthday and event. Lori will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all of her friends and family. Visitation Thursday, February 4th from 4:00- 6:00 pm at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Private family service and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta, Wisconsin. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the family.
