Obituary for Donald Lee Samuelson

Donald Lee Samuelson, 85, of St. Paul formerly of Prentice, WI passed away after a brief but courageous battle with Covid 19 at Regions Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1936 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Prentice High School.  On October 31, 1959 he married Anna Pearson.

Donald had a career as a Quality Control Specialist for Waldorf Paper.  He was an active and proud member with fond memories of the Highwood Hills Booster Club. Donald liked to spend his time watching sports, listening to country music, reading paperback westerns, and playing cards, especially cribbage.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna; and parents, Carl and Margerite. He is survived by his children, Don (Julie Loibl) Samuelson of Vadnais Heights and Kim (Eric Sr. Pressley) Samuelson of St. Paul; grandchildren, Eric Jr., Mariah, Jaide, Renia, and Treyvon; sister, Sharon Samuelson of Chicago, IL; long time friend, Michael Lohman; and other friends from booster club.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM NOON on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Mueller Memorial – St. Paul, 835 Johnson Parkway, with visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of service. Interment to take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
