Dorothy E. Pretzki, 93 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9th, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley & Anna Pretzki; sisters, Florence (Phillip) Kennedy and Dolores (Joseph) Schmitz; and nephew-in-law, Robert Trusler. Survived by nieces and nephews, Doug (Lynn) Kennedy, Robert (Mary Ryan) Schmitz, Jane (Paul Larson) Kennedy, John Schmitz, Jim (Diane) Schmitz, Anita Kennedy, and Ann (Jeff Herickhoff) Schmitz Herickhoff; and many great nieces and nephews.

Dorothy graduated from Johnson High School. She worked at St. John's Hospital for many years until her retirement. She had a strong tenacity and after many tries (possibly somewhere around 7) she finally learned how to drive and received her license in her late 40’s. She enjoyed volunteering at the Care Center and loved photography and traveling. She was very proud of her polish heritage and was a longtime member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church.

A private funeral mass will be held at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church with interment at Union Cemetery. The mass will be live streamed for others to join us virtually. The live stream will begin at 10 am on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
