Elisa was an outgoing and vibrant person. She was very passionate about her faith, family, friends, country and her heritage. She spent many years up to retirement as a Clerk-Typist working for the Superintendent of the St. Paul Public Schools. As the children were young, she remained home caring for them for many years. She loved to volunteer and spent countless hours volunteering at church and distributing communion at the Marian Center. Giving back was always important to her. She loved to travel and was ready with her suitcase sometimes even before she knew where she was going. She always made you feel special whether you were family, friend or an acquaintance. Elisa loved music and was part of the choir at St. Mary’s Church for many years. She was always the first one on the dance floor. She loved to shop and took many of the grandchildren with her on those excursions. Elisa was very proud to be an American and equally as proud to be Mexican. She took great pride in knowing all her brothers and one of her sons were in the armed forces. She also taught religion and held strong religious beliefs. She always encouraged those around her to seek education and work hard. For the people she loved she was their biggest cheerleader. She will forever be in our hearts!
