Florence Meis, 94, died on Thursday, December 5, 2019. Preceded in death by husband, Gordon; daughters, Catherine and Donna; great grandson, Quintin Casey; daughter-in-law, Betty; and sisters Trudy Burgess and Franny Norbek. Survived by children, Gary, Patty (Mark) Kittel, Carol (Dave) Borgwardt, and Laurie Weber; grandchildren, Kelly Klinke, Anna McGary, Carrie (Pete) Sorensen, Chrissy Hardel, Bill (Leanne), Brian Casey, Jeremy Kittel, Julie, Ben Kittel (Monica), Michael Borgwardt (Mary), Nick Borgwardt (Tracy), Stephanie Weber, Nicole Weber, and Matthew Weber; 21 great grandchildren; sister Alice Ruchie; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Meis; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff of New Perspectives Memory Care (Mahtomedi) and Brighton Hospice for their loving care these past 18 months.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th St N, Oakdale, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial to follow the mass at Union Cemetery, 2505 E. Minnehaha Ave., Maplewood.
