George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Delores “Dee”; children, Lori (Peter) Joseph, Jeffrey (Joan), Jill (Thomas) Hanson and Nanci (Michael) Swoboda; 18 grandchildren, Erin (Jesse) Martone, Christopher (Chelsea) Joseph, Anna (Micah) Schultz, Michael Joseph, Elisabeth (Joseph) Erickson, Martin (Danika) Menard, Jenna Menard, Alexandra Menard, Brooke Menard, Mitchell (Molly) Hanson, Mallori (William) Nentl, Spencer Hanson, Adele Hanson, Bernadette Hanson, Kevin Hanson, James (Miranda) Swoboda, Matthew (Stephanie) Swoboda, Emily Swoboda and 19 great-grandchildren, Ella-Mae, Adaline, Miles, Wesley, Hazel, Colton, Chloe, Brady, Cameron, Ava, Maverick, Leo, Clementine, Archie, Sonny, Adette, Jaxon, Austin and Ruth.
George was a former employee of Kormanns and Merricks grocery stores and Browns ice cream.
Mass of Christian Burial 10am on Saturday, August 21st at George’s longtime parish of St. Mary’s Church, 261 E 8th St., St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at church.
