WW II Navy veteran. Preceded in death by Vernon, husband of 75 years, parents Melita and Julius Deckert, brother Reinholt, sisters Linda (Clem) Dolfay, Elsie (Frank) Ubel, Erna (Harold) Market and Norma (Jerome) Sadowski, grandson Christopher John Woolley. Survived by daughters Kathy (Roman) Meyer, Debbie Killeen, son James (Deanna), two grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren and 10 step-greatgrandchildren, brother in-law Dan (Carol) Blomgren, nieces and nephews. Retired from Ramsey County after many yrs. Built and moved into their retirement lake-house on Rush Lake in Clear Lake MN in 1985 until November 2013 when they moved back to St. Paul to The Shores of Lake Phalen. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 19 at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour before the Mass at ST. PASCAL BAYLON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1757 Conway St., St. Paul. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Thank you to the special angels from Visiting Angels, her awesome team from Interim Hospice and the loving, caring staff at The Shores of Lake Phalen. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
