Gregory Lawrence "Hillbilly"

May, Gregory, age 54 – died unexpectedly on January 6, 2022. Preceded in death by his Father, Lawrence, who was there to greet him into Heaven. Survived by his beloved Mother, Rosemarie (Ro); siblings Christina (Noah) Lamont; Tony (Marci) and Mike (Lois). Beloved and missed by many family members and friends, including Maryjo Evans, his long-time friend and caregiver.
Greg was an entrepreneur at an early age and owned 3 successful businesses – May Trucking, Grasston Excavation and Mission Creek Tavern. He was a long-time volunteer for the Wounded Warrior and Patriot Projects, both of which assisted Veterans with physical and mental health issues upon their return home.
He was a true East Sider – hard working, smart, irreverently funny, and loved his Mama Mia’s Italian cooking. Greg had a life-changing motorcycle accident in 2008 and worked tirelessly to regain his mobility. Rest easy Greg – we love you. La Familia forever!
Mass of Christian Burial – Saturday, January 22nd; 11 a.m. at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway Street, St. Paul. Visitation at the church Friday night from 4-6 and 1 hour before Mass on Saturday. Interment at Union Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
