Obituary for José de la Luz Corral

José de la Luz Corral, 68, of Saint Paul passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 5, 2020. He was born on May 29, 1952 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesús and Maria; and brother, Tomás. He is survived by children; José Fabian, Steve, Sarah, Maria, Visente, and Reba; grandchildren, Kaliah, Selena, Thomas, Kylie, Mikayla, Logan, Ava, Keith Jr., Skylar, and Zola; brothers, José, Martin, Francisco, Raymundo, and Carmen; sister, Lupe; and many other extended family members and friends.

José had a love of many things. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening and working on his apple tree. He loved to learn and continued to do so throughout his life. He was an artist who created beautiful objects- from leatherwork to wood carving, he was truly a man of many talents. He played the guitar and, much to the neighborhoods delight, started a garage band with his grandchildren. A tradition of a love of candy was passed down to him and you could always expect to find candy and good treats when visiting. He had a love for many things, but most importantly a love for family. He will be missed by many.

A private family viewing will be held followed. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
