Obituary For the incredible Joshua Shane Fuhrman

Joshua "Josh" Shane Fuhrman age 49 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 15th, 2020. Josh was born in St. Paul, MN on June 10th, 1970. He is survived by his parents, Jon and Sheryl Fuhrman; his sister, Jill Hoyt (Chris), and his brother, Jake (Sarah). Josh will forever smile down upon his two kids, Etta (13) and Jameson (9) who are in the loving care of their mother Selena Fuhrman.
Josh lived in Roseville most of his adult life, not straying far from the nest. In his work he became a nationally recognized leader in the housing and mortgage industry. With his gigantic heart and warm sense of humor he strove to help folks who needed an advocate to assist them in staying in their homes. He was so impactful that he was requested by two of our Presidents, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, to advise them on what actions should be taken to ease the massive economic pressure caused by an imploding housing market.
When he wasn’t changing the world, he would watch sports, cook, and spend time with family and friends. Northern Minnesota was Josh’s sanctuary. His family’s cabin of over 40 years was built by his mom’s family and he relished his time there throughout the year. Josh was passionate about collecting memorabilia whether sports related or toys. He loved garage sales and finding weird things to display around his house. Often, he would give some of his oddities away in hopes of getting a resounding laugh or questioning reaction from the recipient.
Anyone who was fortunate enough to have crossed paths with this incomparable man would say that Josh’s smile lit up a room like the sun and that his laugh was so sincere that it reminded you of a kid opening a new toy. His life was perhaps brief, but it was full. Full of great friends, a loving family, a sense of adventure and a desire to make people happy.
Please join us in celebrating Josh on Sunday, January 26th at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave. A visitation will be from 1-1:30pm followed by a brief service at 1:30pm. After the service will be a reception until 5pm.

Gifts are not necessary. Your thoughts, prayers and hugs are… ~ Thanks the Fuhrman Family.
