Print
Gonzalez (nee Giordani), Lilia, Age 91, longtime Maplewood resident.

Lilia was called to be with the Lord Jesus on Tuesday morning, May 11, 2021. She was born in San Francisco, Cordoba, Argentina to Italian immigrants and courageously left for the US with husband Rodolfo after starting a family of their own. She devoted her life to family and friends and to being an educator, gardener, artist, and traveler. Survived by daughter Cathy (Don) Seiford and son George (Nancy) Gonzalez; Grandchildren Eric (Elise Diesslin) Gonzalez, Marisa (Lathe) Morseth, Tyler and Nick Seiford, and step grandchildren Dante (Beth) and Micah (Lauren) Vono. Preceded in death by husband Rodolfo, son Richard, and stillborn granddaughter Ana Lilia. Her voice, courage, and hopefulness will stay with us forever. Special thanks to The Waters of White Bear staff and Kindred Hospice for their compassion and care during Lilia’s final chapter.

Lilia’s life will be honored at a private family interment.
