Louise L. Beckstrom

Age 83 of White Bear Lake
Loving Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great-Gramdma

Louise was born on September 29, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dolphis and Leah Cardinal. She is preceded in death by sisters Marie, Irene, Harriet and Mabel and her brother Elmer. Louise married the love of her life, John Beckstrom on October 6, 1956 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. After marriage, they moved to White Bear Lake where they raised their 4 children. Louise devoted 20 years of her life working for the White Bear Lake School District. "Mrs. B" was loved by all at school, especially her children whom she told could leave open mods to go home and clean the house.

Louise loved to bake and always had something for the kids when they got home from school. She loved to visit the North Shore or anywhere else John would take her. She loved music, her Saturday morning ritual involved turning up the music and dancing around with the kids while cleaning, with one of them watching for John to return from the weekly dairy trip which meant "turn down the music and take it down a notch". Louise loved shopping but rarely came home with a purchase. Jack would ask her how she could be gone for 3 hours and come home with only a hand towel. She loved to hunt for a bargain! She will be ever known for her Sunday dinners which included some kind of roast, mashed potatoes with gravy which was the best darn gravy one could ask for, and her spectacular Thanksgiving Day turkey.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone around her laugh. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even towards her end of life, the staff at Keystone LaValle loved her for her feistiness and sense of humor.

She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends as well as the residents and staff at Keystone Place at LaValle Fields.
