Mark Thomas Lutz, 67, died November 9th, 2021, with his family by his side in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mark was born youngest of five children in St. Paul, Minnesota.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 15th at the Blue Heron Grill, Hugo MN from 5pm-9pm. He was born August 3rd, 1954, in St.Paul, Minnesota. He was an avid lover of the lakes and water sports. He was a gifted and dedicated musician from his young years till the day of his passing. Mark grew a successful business built on respect and dedication to every individual client.

Mark graduated from Metro State University, and went on to earn his CPA certifications. It is at Metro State that he would meet his future wife, Rebecca Draxten. While he was a dedicated accountant, Mark would spend his summers out on the lake with his family as often as possible.

Mark studied music from a very young age. He shared this passion by teaching string instruments in his younger days.  He would continue to share his love of music by supporting the musical studies of his children, with piano, brass and acoustics. Into his later days Mark would rekindle his studies of musical instruments. He would add the art of the orchestral Bass to his already impressive command of string instruments.

He was blessed with three beautiful granddaughters, aged 3,2, and 6 months. He cherished the time they spent together, and they loved their Papa.

Mark is survived by his ex-wife Rebecca Draxten 66, Daughter; Shelby Lutz 31, Son-in-Law; Thomas Carpenter 32, Son; Derek Lutz 29, fiancé, Jess LaCasse 25, and granddaughters; Nevaeh, Ariah, and Dillon, his brother; Glenn Lutz, sisters; Loretta Parsons, Mary Ann Garvey, Denise McIntyre, and 5 step-sisters.
