It saddens me to read that Michael has passed, he was my drum instructor when I was in 6th grade. Im 25 now and getting into playing live music with some serious musicians, I wanted to see if he had the time to teach me again. Mike made every one of my sessions joyful, he offered personality, patience, passion and progress through his lessons. His playing was so fluid, dynamic and natural; most of all he just loved playing the drums. I'm blessed to have his teachings as the foundation of how I play; he will be with me every time I pick up a pair of sticks. I will always remember my instructor, I'm forever thankful to have had him as a mentor in my life.

Mary, I am sorry for your loss. I never met you, but I'm glad you got to share your life with him; I wish you the best with your healing process.
