MY MOM
Those of you who knew Mom know you were blessed to have known her, but what you might not realize is how blessed I am to have you be part of my life because of her.
Mom taught me what it meant to be a true friend, a honest person, a hard worker, a true and faithful wife. She was a great mother.
I was blessed to have her for 60 years. She is at peace and no longer in pain. I am so grateful Wendy, Dot and I were with her when she passed. I find great comfort in that and will be forever grateful.
Love
Tammy

You always gave the best hugs. I will hang on to the memories of us playing bingo and the long discussions we had. I will miss you terribly. Rest In Peace. Love you.

Mom’s house was always open and she became a 2nd mom to many. She usually had someone living there, be it family or friends. They may have planned to only come for a few months and ended up staying for a few years. A couple of the people that stayed are now referred to as adopted daughters. Carole and Laurie to name a couple. When they moved from their Earl St. home that they lived in for 30 years they did a count and they had 30 different people that had stayed with them at that residence. She continued the tradition into their new home for the next 30 years.
While growing up her house was the house the neighborhood kids would gather at. Mom would usually participate in whatever we were doing. She loved to spray us through the kitchen window with the sink sprayer, as we would spray her with the hose through the same window.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. She lite up every time she was around them. They meant the world to her.
She was always there for anyone who needed her. She would do whatever she could do for them. When her children were in school at Sacred Heart she volunteered as a teachers aid and in the school cafeteria.
Anyone who knows mom knows she loved to play BINGO. She has worked and played bingo as long as we can remember. Over the years she established her “bingo” family. She loved them very much and they were very very good to her.
Mom passed away while visiting her Canadian family in Thunderbay Ontario Canada. Here daughters Wendy, Tammy and “Dot” were with her. We are so grateful that her last adventure in life was to go see Dot and her family, who meant so much to her. Youngest daughter Tammy broke her neck while on vacation in Thunderbay almost 45 years ago. The nurses that cared for her were wonderful and one of them and her family have become part of our family. Tammy was in the hospital for 3 months and mom lived in a motel for those months. Dot and her mother Daisy looked after mom during that time. We have been family ever since.
Mom was a very special person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
