Scholz, Robert “Bob” "Kip", 89, of North Oaks, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances. Survived by sons, Robert (Sharron), Matthew (Mary), Jeffrey (Janice); and grandchildren, Katie, Sam, and David.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 11, 1931. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois. He served in the Army. He truly enjoyed his childhood upbringing which included playing Tarzan in the woods and riding horses. He was very athletic throughout his entire life including competitive swimming, boxing and, later on, tennis and golf.

He had a very distinguished career with 3M company. He became National Sales Manager and then Director of Global Customer Service for 3M Logistics. After 35 years, he retired in 1992 and was very involved in the North Oaks community, serving as President of the North Oaks Homeowners' Association and elected to the North Oaks City Council.

Bob and Frances truly enjoyed spending time with their family and friends and Bob especially treasured Bob Becker, his best friend since childhood.

He was a great role model and inspiration that will continue to live on in our hearts.

Funeral Mass Friday, July 9th at 10 am at Waverly Gardens Chapel, 5919 Centerville Rd, North Oaks with a visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. A reception follows Mass at Waverly. Memorials are preferred to The Parkinson's Foundation or Waverly Gardens.
