Tessier, Robert “Bob”, 65, of Grant, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ann; sons, Andrew and Michael (Haley); father, Raymond; siblings, Steve, Ray (Gloria), Dick (Sandy), Scott (Lisa), Sue (Mike) Bajczyk; and many other family and friends.

Bob was born at St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, on January 25, 1956. He was the first born in a family of six. He grew up in Gem Lake, in the house his dad built brick by brick. His childhood was filled with camping trips all over the U.S., that included hiking, fishing, and water skiing. He was very creative and involved in everything from Cub Scouts, photography, football, to wrestling. Bob was also an avid biker. In the summer of 1972, he and 5 friends headed out on a bike trip from White Bear Lake to Idaho Falls and back. Only Bob and 2 other strong-willed riders made the whole 2,650 mile journey! Bob and Ann became friends in 1974, when she accompanied her older sister (Ellen) out boating on White Bear Lake. They were later married in 1979 at St. Jude of the Lake Church. In August of 1992, Bob and Ann welcomed their first son, Andy, and in December of 1993 their second son, Mike. Last month, Bob and Ann welcomed their first daughter-in-law, Haley. Bob was a loving husband and proud father. He loved to camp and spend time with his sons. He was a scout leader, taught Junior Achievement, helped with Destination Imagination, and thoroughly enjoyed watching children learn. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Sportsmen’s Association where he enjoyed friendships, volunteering, and teaching hunter’s safety. He was a grill master and passionate baker. He enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with his wife, where he intermingled chemistry and cooking, while making jam, pickling vegetables, and always had various ongoing fermentation projects. He was an engineer focused on automation and loved to tinker. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
