Age 32 of White Bear Lake, MN

Born on January 19, 1989 went home to her Lord & Savior on July 17, 2021 after complications from a heart transplant she received at the Mayo Clinic on June 5, 2021. Survived by her parents Troy & Jennifer Townsend; grandparents Clifford & Aloha Townsend and Robert & Ernestine Raymond; aunts & uncles Eric & Rachel Townsend, Torey & Craig Alcock, Sandy & Rick Schultz, and cousins. Tara was a White Bear Lake graduate of the class of 2007 and earned her AA and a Certificate in Human Services from Century College. Tara attended Eagle Brook Church for 30 years. During her elementary years, she was part of Awanas and gave her life to the Lord during that time. She made many friends through church, was involved in church plays, and joined many bible studies throughout the years. Tara was a member of Second Chance for Life Foundation and toastmasters for a short time. She was part of the trial for the Medtronic Heartware LVAD at the University of MN. This device was created to treat people with end stage heart failure and was later FDA approved. This device ultimately extended her life by over 10 years. During that time, she spoke at multiple Medtronic conventions sharing her experiences living with the LVAD. Tara also spoke to high school students about the importance of organ donation. Tara was always known as a person with great Tenacity, with a very great Attitude, with great Resiliency, and with an Amazing personality. Service Friday, July 23, 2021, 11:00 am at Eaglebrook Church, 8498 Sunset Road, Spring Lake Park with visitation one hour before the service.
