Obituary for Theresa Valarie Pugaczewski

Print
Theresa (Terry) was born in St. Paul, MN, on January 19, 1932. She was the eldest of three children born to Bernice (nee Szuminski) and Joseph Pugaczewski. Her parents emigrated from Poland to make Minnesota their home. Theresa graduated from Johnson High School in 1949. She began work at the State of Minnesota, then went on to work at Minnesota Pipe Line Co., Northwestern Refinery, Hamm’s Brewery, and Plastics Inc., before ultimately finding her career home at 3M. She retired from 3M in 1996.

Terry was a lifetime member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and was a member of their traditional choir for over 60 years. Her hobbies included skiing, swimming, cooking, and reading. She travelled quite a bit to Europe, Canada, and Mexico. On her first European trip, she met uncles and cousins who she happily kept in touch with through the years.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers Joseph and John Pugaczewski. She will be dearly missed by her nephew John (Tina) Pugaczewski of Hugo, and her nieces Laura (Rick) Dominik of White Bear Lake, Kathie Pugaczewski of Roseville, and Julie Bailey of St. Paul; great nieces Jenna Dominik and Emily Pugaczewski, and great nephew Mark (Amanda) Dominik; great great nephew Liam Pugaczewski; sisters-in-law Cathy (Joe) and Marlene (John) Pugaczewski, and other family and friends.
