Thomas F. Richie

Age 78 of St. Paul, MN

He Passed away on December 18th, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Elvira; brother, James and sister, Francine. Survived by brother Jerry; many nieces and nephews, and his good friends who provided unconditional love and support.

Tom retired from the U.S. Postal Service and previously worked for the MN Department of Transportation. In his retirement years, Tom became known as the teddy bear man. His hand sewn bears were a source of comfort for individuals who were struggling with loneliness and mental illness. Tom has made over 1,000 bears. Also, one of his many passions was to attend theatrical arts with his friends and family.

There will be a gathering on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 835 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul. Private interment at Union Cemetery.
