Walter "Bill" Schmitt Jr.
A proud father, grandfather and friend of St. Paul passed away on December 20th at the age of 74.
Bill worked for the City of St. Paul as a heavy equipment operator for 32 years. He was also a proud member of the Local 49ers.
He served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War and followed that by joining the Air Force Reserve.
Bill was an avid outdoors-man who will be missed for his wit and humor.
A public visitation will be on Sunday, January 3rd from 2-4PM at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. A mask/face covering and social distancing are required.
A private burial service with full military honors will take place on a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
